Questions buyers actually ask.
How much does a custom system or automation cost?
Every build is quoted after a short discovery, because scope varies enormously. As a guide, a focused automation or single-feature tool is a small once-off project, while a full custom web app is larger, and ongoing support runs month-to-month. You approve a fixed scope and price before we build anything.
How long does it take to build?
Most single automations or focused AI tools ship in one to three weeks. A larger custom web app typically takes four to eight weeks depending on integrations and data. We agree the timeline in the scoping call and work in visible milestones, so you see progress instead of waiting for one big reveal at the end.
What are the ongoing running costs of an AI tool?
AI tools have three separate running costs: the LLM/API usage billed per use, hosting, and optional monitoring or maintenance. We estimate these transparently up front and, where sensible, use rules-based automation or smaller models to keep monthly costs low. You own the accounts, so you can see and control every charge.
Do you use my data to train AI models?
No. We build on business and API tiers where your inputs are not used to train the underlying models by default, and we never feed your data into any training process. Your documents and customer data stay yours; we only use them to power the specific tool we build for you.
Is my business data kept private?
Yes. Data is processed only to run the features you asked for, kept in accounts you own, and handled in line with POPIA. Where needed we can keep sensitive data on servers you control, restrict which staff and systems can access it, and delete it on request.
How do I know an automation is actually saving me time and money?
We define the metric before we build, such as hours saved per week, faster response times or fewer manual errors, then measure against it. Automations log what they do, so you get real numbers rather than a vague promise. If something is not paying off, we would rather fix or stop it than keep billing for it.
Do I have to sign a long contract, and what happens if I leave?
No lock-in. Retainers are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. You own your code, data, domains and accounts, so if you ever leave, everything we built stays with you and keeps working. We simply hand over access and any documentation.
